Mackintyre Lives On!

Have you ever known somebody like that? Somebody who just being around, you could just feel their drive and will radiating off of their very being? Somebody who gave their goal their all and all, tirelessly working to see their dream come true? What about somebody who, even after they have went home with Jesus, still managed to leave a huge imprint on the lives that they have touched?

http://www.mackintyreschurch.com/index.htm

His Name is Mackintyre.

Mackintyre had a dream. Now, this little boy's dream wasn't your typical "Go to the Zoo!" type dream, Because he isn't your typical child.

While growing up in Lathrop,Missouri, Mackintyre proved to be alot more than your "ordinary" kid! He saved up over $1,000 in his savings account, hoping that one day his dream would come true. "What was his dream?", you may ask. His dream, ladies and gentlemen, was to build a church!
What? A Church? No way! Yes way. Mackintyre had been talking about his dream to build a church on his parents' land since he was only six years old, according to this newspaper article.

Well that's just crazy talk. Kids have alot of crazy dreams one minute, but then they decide against them the next minute. Really? Okay, well do the other kids save up over $1,000 dollars in a savings account for their dreams? Do they hold onto them for three years?

Mackintyre has touched the lives of many, including my own.

One tragic morning, Mackintyre awoke to go to school, but he never did make it to class that day. He died of an brain aneurysm, and moved on to be with Jesus.

We can all learn from Mackintyre's example. Instead of going ahead and using his money he saved up on small and selfish things like candy or a new bicycle, he saved it up so that one day his Church may rise up for all to see and praise God!

Jesus himself once said "Watch out! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; life does not consist in an abundance of possessions."-Luke 12:14 (TNIV)

Think of it this way. What if, you won a billion dollars on a Tv game show... what would you do with it?

Save it up for interest?

Buy a new house?

Buy a new car?

Go out to eat at the most expensive place in town?

Build a church?

What if you were to die that very night? Knowing this, which do you think would be most meaningful in God's eyes?

We may never know when we die, so we must treat each day as if it were our last, treat everyone as though that was the last time you would ever see them. Because it may very well be.

Mackintyre has shown the world an amazing example of how we really should act, and what we should do with our worldly possessions.

May the Story of young Mackintyre live on for all to know, so the world may be that much a better place to live in; and so we may all approach life with the same care and love that Mackintyre did.

(Please visit Mackintyre's website. I'm sure it would mean alot to Mackintyre's family and friends if you were to leave a meaningful comment on the guestbook.)

New to Christ? No problem!

I've almost finished an amazing book by Wayne Cordeiro. He was a guest speaker at my church a while back, when i was still only discovering Christ.

In it, Mr Cordeiro talks about "growing your faith as you sit at the feet of the Savior.". He emphasizes and stresses the importance of reading the Bible daily and outlines a very important way of going through it. Journaling it!

Who would've thought? Honestly, I had not once thought of it before a friend gave me one of his Life Journals. In both The Life Journal and The Divine Mentor, Wayne employs a simple acrostic he invented. Soap!

It's amazing. Wayne talks about how through the struggles and wear and tear of life we slowly lose sight of God's purpose and what's really important as we get engrossed in our own little world. Luckily, God has provided an amazing GPS system for us to look at so we can navigate our way back to him. Can you guess what it is? The Bible, of course!

Of course, while reading the Bible is an excellent start, one has to take it to heart as well.

The system Wayne teaches you prompts your brain into a sort of "deeper thinking mode" that really helps the scripture to set roots into your head. It gently encourages you to use an (included) daily scripture plan and pick a verse or two out of it that God leads you to before then going into the deep thinking mode on it.

I only wish that I had listened better when Wayne Cordeiro spoke at my church, but I'm so glad that God has blessed us all with such an awesome author to lead us to him in a most amazing way. I would highly reccomend this book to anybody who feels they would like to swim in the tranquil waters of faith, but can't find the diving board.

The Life Journals come in a variety of colors and styles to suit your needs and styles. I would highly reccomend using one. Since I've been using one, I feel like the prophets and apostles that wrote the Bible are directly speaking to me, Divine Mentors Indeed!

Your Voice Matters

Please don't be intimidated by what you see around you.
If there is anything I can do for you, the readers, to make this more tuned into your specific needs,

please, Just ask. Under every post (yes, even this one.), there is a comment option. If you ever are going through a tough time, a confusing time, or would like to simply strengthen your faith, Just ask.

I didn't make this blog for me. I didn't make it to bring praise and glory for me. No, I did it for the praise and glory to God. Father, son, and spirit! :)

I feel that the best way to do this is to go and spread the wonderful word of God, so that one day, you too may know and love God as I do. And after that, when you are ready(And you'll know, You'll feel it in your heart. ) , you too may spread God's word and make more followers for our #1 biggest fan EVER. :)

"19Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, " -- Matthew 28:19

"7 ‘Ask, and it will be given to you; search, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened for you. 8For everyone who asks receives, and everyone who searches finds, and for everyone who knocks, the door will be opened. 9Is there anyone among you who, if your child asks for bread, will give a stone? 10Or if the child asks for a fish, will give a snake? "-- Matthew 7:7-10

So Please, Just ask. I'm not going to make fun of you, or even publish your username, for that matter. I'm here to help. All you need, is to ask. So please, don't feel intimidated. Just ask. I'd love to help you buddies out. :)

Blessings,

Don't get discouraged from your past!

" But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin." -1 John 1:7
(This translation is copyright TNIV)

"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness." - 1 John 1:9
(This translation is copyright TNIV)

Aren't those just beautiful quotes? God can forgive us for even our deepest darkest sins, as long as we're sincere. God's grace really pours out in these quotes from The Bible.

So, that's it?, you may be asking yourself,
All I have to do is feel sincere remorse, and confess to God?

Yup. That's almost everything.

However, if you'll look a little more closely at the first quote it specifically says "
if we walk in the light".

So as you go about your daily activities and you find yourself with a situation on your plate,
Ask yourself, What would
Jesus do?
After all, Jesus is the Messiah. He died for our sins.

Would Jesus honk angrily at a driver who cut him off?

Would Jesus tap his foot impatiently while waiting in line at the grocery store behind an elderly customer?

Would Jesus get angry at the waiter because of a mix-up with his order?

What would Jesus do? What would God do?

"This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all." 1 John 1:5
(This translation is copyright TNIV)

We can't go back in time and stop ourselves from doing what we did. But what we can do is repent, and move forward with all of our trust in Jesus Christ, our redeemer.

After all, Jesus himself once said :

"(8)...Suppose a woman has ten silver coins and loses one. Doesn't she light a lamp, sweep the house and search carefully until she finds it?(9) And when she finds it, she calls her friends and neighbors together and says, "rejoice with me, I have found my lost coin.'(10) In the same way, I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents."-Luke 15:8-10
(This translation is copyright TNIV)

So while guilt is good, as it shows remorse, let's not give up hope after we have sincerely repented to God. Let's move forward, and walk in the light just as God does, for we were lost but have been found! Put your trust in Jesus, and walk in his ways, praising him and loving him!

God has forgiven me for even the most heinous of all my sins. Nothing is too much for Jesus. Please, please, I encourage you to follow Jesus' ways. The very fact that you have read this far proves that you're, at the very least, interested in redemption offered through the blood of Jesus, the Savior of the world. I've committed absolutely terrible acts, which I am sincerely sorry about, but have been forgiven by God,Father of all creation.

He can forgive you too.

Pray.

Pray for repentance.

Please.

You're in my prayers.

Blessings, everybody!
Glory to God forever and ever for making this all possible!

"7let the wicked forsake their way,
and the unrighteous their thoughts; let them return to the Lord, that he may have mercy on them,
and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon."- Isaiah 55:7
