Have you ever known somebody like that? Somebody who just being around, you could just feel their drive and will radiating off of their very being? Somebody who gave their goal their all and all, tirelessly working to see their dream come true? What about somebody who, even
after they have went home with Jesus, still managed to leave a huge imprint on the lives that they have touched?

His Name is Mackintyre.
Mackintyre had a dream. Now, this little boy's dream wasn't your typical "Go to the Zoo!" type dream, Because he isn't your typical child.
While growing up in Lathrop,Missouri, Mackintyre proved to be alot more than your "ordinary" kid! He saved up over $1,000 in his savings account, hoping that one day his dream would come true. "What was his dream?", you may ask. His dream, ladies and gentlemen, was to build a church!
What? A Church? No way! Yes way. Mackintyre had been talking about his dream to build a church on his parents' land since he was only six years old, according to this newspaper article.
Well that's just crazy talk. Kids have alot of crazy dreams one minute, but then they decide against them the next minute. Really? Okay, well do the other kids save up over $1,000 dollars in a savings account for their dreams? Do they hold onto them for three years?
Mackintyre has touched the lives of many, including my own.
One tragic morning, Mackintyre awoke to go to school, but he never did make it to class that day. He died of an brain aneurysm, and moved on to be with Jesus.
We can all learn from Mackintyre's example. Instead of going ahead and using his money he saved up on small and selfish things like candy or a new bicycle, he saved it up so that one day his Church may rise up for all to see and praise God!
Jesus himself once said "Watch out! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; life does not consist in an abundance of possessions."-Luke 12:14 (TNIV)
Think of it this way. What if, you won a billion dollars on a Tv game show... what would you do with it?

Save it up for interest?
Buy a new house?
Buy a new car?
Go out to eat at the most expensive place in town?
Build a church?
What if you were to die that very night? Knowing this, which do you think would be most meaningful in God's eyes?
We may never know when we die, so we must treat each day as if it were our last, treat everyone as though that was the last time you would ever see them. Because it may very well be.
Mackintyre has shown the world an amazing example of how we really should act, and what we should do with our worldly possessions.
May the Story of young Mackintyre live on for all to know, so the world may be that much a better place to live in; and so we may all approach life with the same care and love that Mackintyre did.
(Please visit Mackintyre's website. I'm sure it would mean alot to Mackintyre's family and friends if you were to leave a meaningful comment on the guestbook.)
